Edward James Norman, is an American musician, multi-platinum record producer, arranger and label-head. He grew up in Florida, and pursued music at North Texas State University. In 1969, playing keyboards and guitar and as one of the principal architects of the distinctive sound of West Coast 1970s pop and country rock. He contributed string arrangements and piano to on by the Eagles, including Desperado (1973), One of These Nights (1975) and Hotel California (1976) among many others.

He was President of Warner Bros. Records Nashville from 1984 to 2004

WE ARE A YOUTH DRIVEN ORGANIZATION

We are a 501 c)(3 nonprofit (youth driven) foundation. Founded 

in 2001 as "PASS IT ONone of the many Black History programs

  held at Warner Bros Records Nashville. Today it is better known toady

    as THE COLOR OF MUSIC.

   Our first program, "The Color of Music" was held on Friday, February

    15, 2002 (Warner Bros Records. Music Row - 16th Ave. South,        

    Nashville, Tennessee 37206)

 The Nashville conglomerate was the first and only record label on Music Row

 acknowledge and celebrate diversity. President of the label, Jim Ed Norman 

  worked closely with artists from some of the most remote parts of the world.

  During his 20 years as head of the label he would always set aside time within the 

       company's busy itinerary to celebrate Black History Week. Jim Ed retired shortly   

     after; The Color of Music was the last of its programs.
